Match Recaps
Match two pitted southern girls Fantasy, and Star against each other. This match was back and forth as both girls seemed to know each other well. Fantasy hit a second rope bull dog for the win.
The super hero Super J took on the mean hearted girl from cross town rival NWF. Sin-D was to much for our Hero Super J, as she was put out with a sleeper.
Kara Kildare put up the fight of her life against one of the strongest girls to ever compete in female wrestling, ODB. As the name implies, she is One Dirty B@#ch. After ten minutes of abuse, ODB pinned Kara to the mat.
In our main event, long time HWA female veteran Hellena Heavenly took on Vanessa Harding. This was a hard hitting match with both girls taking lots of holds, and trying to break the other girl down. When the final bell sounded, Hellena got her hand raised in victory. Stay tuned to HWAONLINE for updates on future shows. Both ladies proved that their looks couldn't hide the fact they have great wrestling skills. Harding had victory in hand after wearing down Alexia's left leg and knee. Harding went to the corner and climbed the second rope to taunt the crowd. When she turned around, Alexia hit a handstand hurricane and got the pin on Harding. I ended up against Hot Ass Amy Love. It was originally going to be a 3 way. We locked up, she took my arm, wrenched it a time or 2 then took me into a hammer lock I reversed it and took her into a headlock. She went into a top wrist lock and I,seizing the opportunity yanked her down by her long brown hair.
We Locked up again and I ducked under and swept her leg out from under her. Going for a cover I got a 2 count. We locked up a final time,I again took a headlock, Amy then attacked my stomach with a series of punches to my middle0 threw me into the ropes. I hit her with a viscious shoulder tackle that knocked her almost to the corner. She leapt up and landed at my feet, I jumped over her and hit the far ropes. Coming back at her I was taken by suprise when she hip tossed me, then got me reeling into and arm drag and then finally a body slam. I took the opportunity to powder out of the ring to clear my head and re-take control of the match. Amy followed me out of the ring and as I slid back in, I stomped her several times on the back then proceeded to ""accidentally "" choke her on the ropes for a four count. Then rubbing her face along the top rope I pulled her to the corner. I got in a sharp chop to her chest, then raised my hands in triumph at the noise that it had made. Unfortunately for me Amy used my moment of gloating to forearm me to the head and whip me around so I was now the reciever of the chops! Taking me to the center she hit me with a flurry of forearms to the back, and then irish whipped me into the ropes and delivered a clothesline to my delicate neck. My fall got gasps from the crowd. She then grabbed a handful of my hair, pulled me up and threw me off only to snatch me back for a back breaker. I cut off any further abuse by a shot to her gut, then threw her by her hair into the corner. I irish whipped her into opposite corner then went in for my nasty corner splash, but Amy side stepped my attack and I was left to harm myself by boucing off the corner pads. Reeling back I found myself on the recieving end of a backbreaking move (Randy Orton's finisher if you follow the business) and a VERY quick and unfair 3 count found me the looser of this round. But I will be facing Amy again Jan 20th, so we will see who comes out on top then! Main Event Leather Strap Match I was valeting for Fatty Luv against ????? whose valet was Trinity from NWA-TNA. Trinity cheap shotted me a number of times during the match with her leather strap. Finally at the end of the match as Fatty Luv lay dazed on the mat from taking a piledriver onto a chair.. I crossed the ring to let Trinity have it. I slapped the living heck out of her, then turned to tell the booing masses to shut up. As I turned to face her she hit me hard with her shoulder to my gut, then snapped my neck onto the rope which knocked me on my back. Trinity grabbed me by my ankles and with a yank pulled me out of the ring, I slammed hard onto the floor. Pulling me up by my hair she gave me a nasty hard chop across my chest... As she turned to gloat to the crowd, asking them if they wanted her to bare my chest... I cut her off with a knee to the gut and slammed her face onto the apron. Turn about being fair play, I gave her a loud chop, she then chopped me, (OUCH), I chopped her.. She got in the last chop with a terrible over hand chop that knocked me to my knees. Being confused from striking my head on the floor and used to fighting more men than women.. I went for a low blow which of course did nothing to harm Trinity. She short armed clothes lined me. Finally the ref separated us... saving her from the thrashing I was sure to have given her if the fight had continued... Lucky her :)

The Nighthawk (challenger), w/Vanessa Harding vs. The Saint and Gator (Triple Threat Rules) This was supposed to be a rematch against the Mystic Sheik under streetfight rules, my Texas title against his United States title, winner-take-all. But,the Shiek no-showed and I got thrown into a triple-threat match against The Saint (from the Hart Family gym in Calgary) and Gator (one-half of The Law Dogs). The fans went nuts when Vanessa led me out to the ring but they really enjoyed her timely assistance. When I was trying to focus on the 300-pound Gator, Leslie reached through the ropes and tripped the Saint to buy me some time. After I eliminated Gator by popping his knee, I threw the Saint out of the ring. While the referee counted him on the floor, Vanessa reached into her ample cleavage to pull out the hidden foreign object (a piece of metal) that I could slip into my mask for the loaded headbut, followed by the 1-2-3!!
Inter gender Tag Team Match “The Latin Sensation” Ricky Romeo & Vanessa Harding vs. Justin From Tough Enough III and Eris. What a way to start off the show! The action was so breath takingly fast paced I found it hard to call the match. The ladies start out, as Vanessa gained the early advantage but Eris time and time again came back. Both women made the tag to get their male partners involved. Business really picked up from here. Referee Billy Dalton had his hands full the entire match as neither team wanted to follow the rules. Justin gained the upper hand late until he missed “The Juicer” after he planted Ricky Romeo with his patented Shock and Awe to the Jaw. The match ended as both male competitors ganged up and began to pummel him. Billy Dalton ended the match by disqualifying both teams.”

Vanessa personal match notes: I got in a few shots on Eris, but basically spent most of the match avoiding her. She did manage to get in a head lock take over and a few punches in the corner. I left her with a gouged eye, something that hurt her for quite some time... I felt much stronger against Justin, I got him with a hard kick to the small of the back and a nice drop kick to the face which left him sprawled in the middle of the ring. Dee “The Kat” Venturi cleared the ring, leaving me gasping when she caught me with a really brutal kick to the side.. My breath was completely knocked out of me. I was happy to get out and away with out further damage from Dee. Eris was not so lucky, taking an X-factor with her hands at her side left her pretty beat up.
“In a Battle of the Giants, local fave Punisher (w/ Abudadein) beat Dennis “Mideon” Knight (w/Vanessa Harding) when he hit the former WWE star with a thunderous chokeslam. Punisher was very impressive in his IPW debut. After the match, Harding took the Staff of Darkness to the head from Abudadein. Knight talked smack to Punisher's tag partner (Antonio Banks) until Banks ran him off.”

Match Two: “Pat McGroin vs. 'Superfan' Mark Zout: Pat McGroin throwing out a challenge to anyone around. The crowd is all over them. Superfan Mark Zout comes out as Pat Powers, McGroin's original opponent. That is brilliant. Feeling each other out early. Hammerlock on Zout, reversed. Another reversal into a McGroin headlock. Shoulderblock. Mark Zout gets some good shots in and Pat McGroin goes outside. Sunset Flip by Mark Zout. Small Package. McGroin comes back. A couple of big clotheslines. McGroin goes for a pin but doesn't hook the leg and can't get it. Leglock. Repeated shots to the knee. Some hard chops from both men with Mark Zout getting the edge. Fritz comes out and Vanessa Harding gets all explicit on Mark Zout, while choking him on the rope. McGroin with a Figure-four now. Aaron Royal shills for Greg Valentine. I don't blame him. I met the guy once, he's cool. Mark Zout gets distracted, and McGroin gets some shots in, but Mark Zout gets in a rollup for the pin in a big upset. McGroin holds down Fritzy and Vanessa spanks him for revenge.”
IPW TV Title Match “Pat Powers (w/Pat McGroin and Vanessa Harding) vs. Frankie Capone (w/Cannon) was turned into a three way dance with McGroin as he kept interfering. This resulted in Pat Powers winning his very first title in IPW by pinning McGroin. After the match as McGroin and Harding were putting the boots to the new champ, RASTAMAN made his return to IPW and ran off both McGroin and Harding.”
“There was no running out of the building for pat McGroin as he had to face Rastaman in his first official IPW match after a lengthy absence. As would be expected, these beasts of man brutalized each other. It was ruled a no contest after interference for McGroin by Vanessa Harding set off a series of events that included Rastaman teasing hitting Harding and then laying a liplock on her that popped the crowd, but seemed to disgust all involved.”
“Pat Powers d. Frankie Capone and Pat McGroin for the IPW TV Title: Match of the night right here, gang. Originally a 2-man match, it turned into a 3-way after the Pats started getting into it with each other. Everyone in the match turned in great performances, especially Frankie. For a guy who claims to not be a good flyer, outgoing TV champ Capone did two very impressive standing ranas (flying head scissors actually, but standing ranas sounds cooler) on the Pats. This one featured an after-match run-in by Rastaman, who I had not heard of but all the regulars seemed to know him. Frankie, in a very nice display of sportsmanship, congratulated Powers for taking his title and they all took turns doing goofy dancing after laying out McGroin and his valet Vanessa Harding with twin rock bottoms.”

NWA South Atlantic Heavyweight Title Match: The Nighthawk (champion), w/Vanessa Harding vs. Redd Alert w/Agent X Before the match started I went to the mike to let the champ know that I was there solely because of the hard time he had given my valet at the last show where she was managing another wrestler and that I'd passed on a main event match in Georgia to come give him "the wrestling lesson of his life." I started out with a hip toss and Japanese arm drag and then did a series of floatovers into an ankle lock and headlock to demonstrate my superior skills. He responded with eye rakes and low blows. It was very back-and-forth. He went for a variety of suplexes (vertical, snap, belly-to-belly, and German) and I went with a flying elbow and a stepover toehold into a Japanese leg stretch into a flipover bridge. I got a lot of two-counts (maybe slow ones). He got me into a camel clutch but I hooked his knees, lifted him straight up and bridged back into another pin attempt that he rolled out of. At one point, I went for a Stinger splash in the corner but took a boot in the midsection. Throughout the match, I had to keep one eye on his manager threatening Vanessa. Redd even went out on the floor to harass her. As soon as he stepped back in the ring, I pushed him into the corner, fired off four rapidfire chops, and then snatched him out into a running bulldog. Yet one more two-count! He held me up for a high vertical suplex and went for a pin. I stuck my foot through the ropes but the ref missed it. The crowd was almost as angry as me at the three-count going against me.
I took to the mike again and offered an open contract for any rematch stipulation (chain, bullrope, cage, whatever), any time, anywhere. So, we'll meet again, I have no doubt. The crowd was totally behind Vanessa and me and we were mobbed for autographs before and after so I expect there are a lot more "Nighthawk-maniacs" now!
